Try opening your phone so you've got the keyboard out.
Tap the keyboard logo to bring up the on-screen keyboard.
Middle row of on screen keyboard - second to last button says ABC-T9
Push it so it moves over to T9 (T9 should be bold)
Tap logo to put on screen keyboard away.
Type with suggestions.
I hate this mode but if you like it, more power to you. If it worked. Thank me via the thank button.
