Does this setup:
1) Cause a data connection to stay on all the time, in order to get the pushes?
2) If the data connection stays on all the time, does it draw more battery than if the data connection was terminated? If so, is the runtime noticeably different?
3) Does hitting the on/off button on the phone (think it just kills the screen) affect this setup?
UPDATE: Just set it up. Sure is sweet. When my device received the mail notification, it didn't make any sounds but when i turned on the screen it showed the new mail icon on the top. How do i enable the sound for that? Thanks!
Thanks in advance!

1) yes
2) Not really
3) no
I would like to add that having direct push connected all the time dose cause a minimal amount of battery drain, it also has some side benefits. Like google maps requires a data connection but will not establish one on its own, with direct push connected you don't need to establish the connection to use this program, speeds things up allot. Also while connected the data stream still becomes dormant so the minimum amount of battery is used. I highly recommend this service, its free and ther are many other benefits from having all your PIM stored where you can access it at any time. This has saved me many timed in the almost 3 years I have been using it.
