Interesting. FWIW; Since it is one of the few apps that I actually paid for, it is one of the first things that I install after a flash. It could be a conflict with another picture viewer, sound app, or video player (TCMP perhaps). Kinoma is pretty nasty about going in and taking over as the default for all media files.
Another stab in the dark: It could also be data connection related. Every time I install it the first thing that pops up is the OTA registration page.
