There's a new ROM for Sprint I just posted yesterday. You could try that. If that doesn't work and you can't flash the latest UTStarcomm installer, then it's probably time to get Sprint to replace your phone. I bet one of the first two options will work. It's almost impossible to permanently brick an Apache by flashing the ROM. Not completely impossible (don't let the smoke escape, for example) but pretty darn hard.
