But yeah to get impurities out, you need to dilute them/rinse, hence the distilled water.... Zero impurities...but yeah in your case, rubbing alcohol is probably a good thing. disinfect. hahaha... Glad you were able to get a new phone through insurance. That's what it's for.

Sprint didn't add the insurance when I asked them to when I first got the phone. 2.75 years later I didn't really need the insurance, but I did bust the screen by "tapping" on the screen a bit too hard when I got fed up with dropping calls at work. Sprint wanted $120 for the repair, I said no thanks and got a $27 replacement from Hong Kong. Installed it myself and voila, good as new!
