Metro its offering a service named MetroFlash, for about 30 to 40 $, they will flash your tp with call and text, for web, mms and gps you'll have to find the settings in here or HoFo (wich are not that hard to configure). But since your in a new market, i don't know if they are offering in NY yet, you might have to call them first.
