where in any of the TOS' we've posted does it say anything other than your not suppose to be using a standard unlimited data plan to connect/tether this way? because their is a paid way, MIKE(TELUS) and PAM(SPRINT) to do so.. |
The .inf file that differentiates the modem link from an Active Sync connection over USB is just a driver file for a different function of the phone. The driver is included with the CD in the box. It's not a driver you only get when you subscribe to a PAM plan. The computer doesn't see the phone as a phone when it's in "modem mode" so that why the difference. It wasn't designed to require a different driver so that the carriers could require a special program or plan to tether.
