Refer to hardware recommendations prior to using an application (ignore the lien where they say "it is known to ..." as Torch obviously only tested this on the hardware specs in bold red).

The browser has been tested on a variety of Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices, including Classic and Professional (Smartphone, PocketPC) editions, and we recommend 400MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM at this time, though it is known to work well on 200MHz processors and 64MB devices.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Torch did not test to see how the browser would perform on the HTC Mogul from Sprint, which only has half the recommended RAM (64MB).
