Re: Why is \Windows access so slow?

In \Windows there are 6287 files, totaling 246mb in size and it takes about 3 minutes to load.

on my desktop, my system32 folder has 16,589 files totaling 2.98GB in size. This folder takes less than a second to fill completely. Even if my desktop cpu is 4x as fast as my phone's, doesn't this seem a bit too askew?

It just seems like browsing the \Windows folder with active sync would have been faster. I know the cpu is limited, but my guess is Qualcomm's cpu simply doesn't handle file operations like this very well.

Have all WM devices always been like this? Are the Dell PPC's like this?
