I don't think its how long it takes to slide the keyboard out that is the issue. For me, its the one handed ease of use of the device that will make the biggest difference. For someone that isn't affected by that I'd recommend the TP simply becauase the keyboard is huge and it has a larger, higher resolution screen.

I wouldn't let BenC's experience steer you away. He seems to have some of the worst experiences with the 800w that I've heard of.

I can't say I would whole heartedly recommend the 800w. If you really want one because of the front facing keyboard I would probably recommend the Moto Q9c. Its an extrememly solid device and really cheap right now. I also don't think I could recommend you wait for the Treo Pro. I love the 800w and its ease of use. I can live with it's quirks, but honestly, I think you should keep the Touch Pro.
