Exactly.

Heck, some of the defrag programs pop up a warning specifically warning you NOT to use them on a solid state memory card.

Memory cards are not hard drives & it can totally ruin one to defrag it. I actually had this happen to me a long time ago. I ran a defrag on an old small card I had kicking around that I didn't care about once just playing around out of curiousity.

That card never worked again..........
