The Sprint Touch Diamond GPS works in London. I was just there for a couple of days and it worked perfectly with Garmin Mobile XT. The phone, bluetooth, and wifi was off and I was able to get GPS in less than a minute. I even turned it on during a train ride south of London and it worked great.
I tried the phone several times, but it would search and never find any service. In the end, you don't need phone or data service for the Sprint Touch Diamond GPS to work.
