Yeah, isn't BB Connect just push email?
WM already has that, and often a BES is connected to an Exchange server anyway for groupware features... The advantages of a BB are the high-end additional services, such as call log sync and more remote administration controls.
If BB Connect only supports Push Email from a BES, and that BES is syncing with an Exchange Server, it seems silly not to bypass the BES completely and push from directly to activesync.

Now, the full BB system that has been floating around in screenshots (and hopefully isn't just vaporware) would be interesting to have...
