Why? Why remove something that can't cause a slowdown and doesn't take up any additional space such the ability to upload to all the original services that the TP allowed? What's this love with facebook that makes people want to remove all other upload services?
I love the customizations that these roms offer but I just don't get some features that take up hardly any room are removed.

It comes down to flexibility and customization. Thats what custom ROM's are all about. Most of them give you, the user the option to add back what you want, at your discretion. So people can pick and choose what they want.
Heck, if you look at my phone right now, it's looks almost IDENTICAL to Sprint's stock ROM. However, I'm running MightyROM. Why did I do it this way? Because Sprint's stock ROM is bloated and SLOW. plus Picturemail doesn't work consistently(if at all, at times). The one thing I did like about Sprint was their UI. I really liked the look.
So, I installed MightyROM, added back the Sprint slider and icons and used a Yellow theme, that is similar to what Sprint had. Plus I added back things like Sprint TV. I also now can run Arcsoft MMS(something I couldn't with the Sprint stock ROM).
What did I end up with? A phone that "looks" similar to the Stock Sprint Touch pro, but runs MUCH faster and has much less issues and bloat, along with working(and well integrated) MMS.
With all that said, there is a custom ROM out there that seems to be squeezing in just about everything under the sun. Check out Rstoyguy's RSTG ROM here:
