The first WM 6.5 I got IE 8 to work and the same on this build. Only issue is it breaks the weather widget on the honeycomb.
Download the zip and extract it. Delete all the same items in the sys folder and replace them with what you extracted. DO NOT OVERWRITE the folders as it will not work.
