The Treo 700w series is technically 18 months old (Released Jan 2006).

Saying it's "outdated" is merely stating the obvious.

As for the rest of your post, those are my exact feeling of the 6800! That device was outdated the day it came out, especially with the Kaiser being released in less than 2 months on AT&T.

The 6800 may be a solid device but spec wise, it's pretty weak for mid 2007. Talk about screen and innovation, they couldn't do VGA? 3.2 mp? More ram? Front camera for vid conferencing (esp over RevA)?

So this argument cuts both ways. It all comes down to what you feel comfortable using and enjoy more.

And to be honest, most of this argument has less to do with HTC and Palm and more to do with Sprint and Verizon.

I'm not sure at what point people began to think that YOU are HTC and Palm's customer. You are not. The carriers are their customers; that's who pays their bills and orders the products. So blame should really be put on them.
