The automatic profile will switch to vibrate when ever you are "busy". That means whenever you have an appointment during the present time on your calendar. However, it also registers all day events. So, if it is your mom's birthday, the automatic profile will stay on vibrate all day. The other problem is that it does not switch back to normal volume once the appointment is over.
I have not seen the buildup of notifications but have heard about it. If someone has, please explain and try to be as descriptive as possible.
