VZW has a 1800 mAh extended battery available for around $50.
It has made all the difference in the world from the standard issue battery.
It does, however, make the phone now 7/8" thick.
I would imagine a 3000 mAh would make it unbearably thick.
It is not listed on their website for some reason, you have to call into their customer service to order it.
