you need a camcorder or an ipod cable to connect the 3.5mm in your adapter to the composite inputs of your TV

This is the same input our old CRT televisions used to use. If you connect an old DVD player or xbox with the same plugs, you'll see the same quality. RCA/Composite is an old technology (over 20 years i think) that was intended for TVs before HD came about. Unfortunately the TP only supports this kind of analog output.
