I've have the Verizon XV6900 since early Aug '08 and kept experiencing the random SD card corruption. The fixes and suggestions here never really fixed the problem for me, only extended the time between failure.

Verizon has a update available for the Verizon XV6900 that brings the phone up to Mobile 6.1. According to the tech at the Verizon store the SD-card fix is part of the update package. I've been running it since early January 3rd and I haven't had a single SD card problem since. (fingers crossed)
Yup, It should be a thing of the past. I and others with Sprint Vogues had the issue with the stock WM6 ROM. The 6.1 update fixed the issue. There is a registry tweak that will help too. It deals with the camera album, which if left open will cause the error.
