That's cool gbm85, but I went ahead and looked at the OP's OEM anyway. Everything is fine except your initflashfiles.txt file is Encoded in ANSI. It must be in Unicode to be processed by the OS on first boot.

Without the initflashfiles, your shortcut doesn't get copied to the start menu.

All of its stuff was there in the \Windows folder though--it's just that by default Explorer hides stuff from you (to solve that, go to the menu [right softkey] and choose show all files) or use a better file manager like Total Commander.

I threw your OEM into a ROM I'm building now and will let you know if the change to Unicode on the initflashfiles.txt fixed it.

Don't be discouraged. We need more people willing to put in the time to make OEMs. It just takes practice to get everything exactly right.
