So what's the consensus? Is it possible to plug the phone into the computer and have it recognize it as a keyboard/mouse?

I dont know the technical aspects of this but it would seem logical to me that it could be done. You start an application which emulates a keyboard or makes the computer recognize it as such, it connects, and you use the keyboard and mouse and the application sends the appropriate keystrokes.
