check your mail settings that it might only get 1 day of email. If that's the case, I believe it deletes old mail to get ready for new mails. I only set 1 day is good enough...if you need past email, login to your mail and check it.
Set 1 day to save space on your phone....because the hack to store email in Internal Storage always give me issue of unexpected hard reset due to corruption I think.
