OK. was finally able to unlock phone by the manual method off the device.
Flashed to Kevan's ROM and it's now going through the customizations.
It appears that the ROM comes with something like a Staples Easy Button, because my first thoughts were, "man, that was easy!!"
Can't wait to check out all that's included. Thanks again.
