If I recall you should be able to turn off the sound made with key presses. As noted above, I believe it is correct that the d/c the one key emergency due to false calls.

As it is i called 911 on my old Q the other day, to get it out of emergency mode it just required single key press. For what its worth a power off cycle did not take it out of that mode either. I actually hung up before i was connected and the correct PD called me back. Thats something you will want to know as well, your phone will ring if for some reason the 911 call is not completed by you.
