Re: Sprint ending PCS Mail service 12/2008, outgoing mail on Mogul

Hello All

I use a local ISp who houses one of our company emails, and the two other email accounts are GoDaddy.

The problem is sending out email from a SPRINT TOUCH MP6900SP on all three accounts.

I have used all three accounts set up as pop3 just like my desktop on my Touch for the last year with no problems and 3 weeks ago all accounts stopped sending email... NO I WAS NOT USING THE USERNAME@SPRINTPCS.COM or smtp.sprintpcs.com. I have talked to SPRINT everyday for the last 3 weeks and they want to push using gmail so for two days I used it and lost some business because when you send the email using gmail as the smtp it says USERNAME@gmail.com on behalf of [username@companydomain] which caused some to try and reply to the gmail account which caused me to loose some business.

I have went to my local provider which does one of our company emails and what they have found is the sprint ip addressed used to send emails has been blocked so they unblock and it work for 3 to 4 hours. Recheck and they are blocked again.

On another note I can delete the email account setup from the touch and then reset it back up on the touch and it will work for about 3 hours to maybe 2 days, then it will quit sending email.

I am at a loss if anyone can help I would appreciate it very much.
