Well, I'm about to throw it up against the wall (VZW TouchPro, stock ROM).
Came from a BB 8830. I realize there are trade-offs but I thought that ActiveSync/DirectPush would at least be a
reasonable alternative to BES. Plus, I liked/wanted Remote Desktop, LogMeIn, etc. and the better browsing experience.
Every other day Messaging gets "stuck". ActiveSync/DirectPush (hooked to an Exchange Server) will stop working (have it on "As Items Arrive") and my other e-mail accounts (Windows Live, a couple of IMAPs) won't deliver mail. I have the TP set to close programs when I hit the X. There always seems to be at least 50% memory available according to Task Manager. Hey, the world won't come to an end if I don't get my e-mail but my business might.
BES wasn't perfect but this every-other-day thingie (and I turn the TP off completely every night) is driving me crazy.
There might be an app I use (Opera?) that's doing it but if I can't figure this out soon I'm going to need to eat the cost of the TP and see if VZW will let me go back to my old BB8830 and plan without an ETF.
Again, I realize there are trade-offs but if you really like your E-Mail then think twice (in my experience, anyway).
