Okay, so I have been using the battery charger that I explained 3 posts up, and it does work! The LED indicator does turn green when the battery is finished charging and I have confirmed it is definitely fully charged upon insertion of my handset.
It is cheaply made yes, but for $10 including shipping, the ability to have an extra battery charged is definitely worth it to me.
As I mentioned, the output is significantly less than the normal OEM HTC charger, so charging one battery does take longer (I want to peg it at about 8 hours for a full charge, but I wasn't sitting watching it either
)
