I got it... I took a closer look at what you posted instead of the "Cliffnotes" version.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay]
"DefaultPage"=dword:00000001 --> dword:00000000

That's the key that needs to be changed, not [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\HTCVOLUME] like you have up there.
