Hi,
Given that it worked fine on v.1.0 of your ROM, and the fact that I've tried it on two different phones on the same carrier (Bell) I'm thinking that something has changed between v1.0 and other newer ROM releases. Perhaps Bell sends SMS messages in a certain way that whatever was changed after v1.0 of your ROM is no longer compatible?
I can try to troubleshoot this myself - if there's a way to see the raw SMS source somewhere in the filesystem? Would be nice to see the raw source rather than it just giving up and saying "Cannot be displayed".
Also, I wasn't able to try your manually installing p-sms cab since I don't know what or where this is.

**UPDATE**
I solved it. Simply unchecking MMS and ThreadedSMS in BuildOS doesn't work. I had to manually blow away the dirs from the OEM directory.
Still kinda curious on what changed in MMS or TSMS from v1.0 to now. But hey, its working in old-school mode so I guess who cares. |
