I did this last Friday for legitimate purposes. My mogul has literally been shedding pieces and parts and it was time to get it replaced. So I did the advanced exchange Friday and got it yesterday.
I did NOT get a Touch Pro, they sent me a Mogul. And wouldn't you know about 5 minutes after I switch over my service to the new Mogul, the screen starts looking like a green and orange smoke all over it. A complete mess.
Rebooted and hard reset. Still same problem. Called Sprint and told them that the refurbed replacement phone they sent was crap and I had already switched over the service. what now?
They told me to try a local Sprint store to swap it out. I went and tried that. Waited 30 minutes just be told in about 30 seconds that there was nothing they could do and to call Sprint.
Called Sprint....and mutiple hang ups and "you have to talk to another department" later, they told me it was all taken care of. They then transferred me to "Asurion Replacement...." and I knew I was screwed...AGAIN!
Of course, the insurance company would replace the replacement phone, but I would now have to pay $55 to get that done. WTF?? So they transferred me back to Sprint so I could start my story all over again.
Got some chick who put me on hold for an entire episode of Family Guy while I waited. She finally got approval to replace my phone with a "new phone" and that was "since I only had it for one day". Wasn't that nice of them??
So here I wait for my next mystery package? At this point, I'm almost not caring if its just 2 cups and a string. As long as this one works, i really don't care if its a Mogul or Touch Pro.
