It's CRUCIAL you downgrade first using the first link in the first post, and then roll on. The 2nd post has points you to the wiki for getting GPS going using qpst.
It's a must read.

Just for clarification, will the above allow:
* "Standalone GPS" (i.e NO Verizon data charges will be incurred)
or is this still
* "Assisted GPS (aGPS)" (i.e. Verizon data charges WILL be incurred)?
I ask, because my current GPS applications only work after securing GPS Satellite "locks" by briefly allowing a Verizon Data connection (I enable data using "NoData"). Once "Satellite locks" are established, I can disable my Data connection (again using "NoData"), and continue to use my GPS application. If I do not allow a Data Connedtion, I never seem to get any "Satellite Locks" (so it sounds like I do not truly have "Standalone GPS", and keep incurring data charges). I can live with what I have, but would REALLY like to have "Standalone GPS".
