Lo and behold not only did the movies transfer in a decent timeframe, when I tried to play them on my PC they were flawless.
So I am a bit baffled why it works in one direction well and not the other. I am thinking at this stage it is my computer...but I am still scratching my heasd as to why.

I'm a bit baffled as well, all I can think of is the Omnia, being newer and more up to date is transfering files in a faster, purer way, while the PC, being older and slower can't send at a speed and quality the Omnia needs for pure uncorrupted video.
I would still try to have a video file on a friends computer and transfer it to your Omnia. I am thinking your right in thinking it is the PC and not the Omnia.
P.S. Adrynalyne...maybe I'll give CorePlayer another shot...thanks. I just hate paying for something if it isn't any better than what is already on the device!!
