I bought a diamond right when it came out. Right off the bat I had problems. It would constantly and suddenly start to emit a loud siren that could not be stopped unless you take out the battery and if I would put it back in it would keep making noise till it felt like it was time to stop.

Sprint replaced that one and the next had similar issues. Went back they replaced it again only to have the same issues and now this one was extremely slow. I was basically forced to wait for a ROM update or switch the phone. They told me it could be more than six months for a ROM update.

So after much time with customer service I got them to send me a pro. It is a little bigger than the diamond but not much. They got the software right on with the pro. It runs a lot faster than the diamond. All the fuctions work perfectly. The diamond always had a problem with the end button getting stuck but the pro's buttons work flawlessly.

I love it and the added size does not matter it is still smaller than an Iphone. It just works. Never get a diamond. I know its a sexy phone but it doesnt work.
Hmm odd, I haven't experience any issues with my diamond other than the usual battery issue. Must have gotten a rotten apple .

Being a recent mogul user, I wanted the pro because of keyboard and sd slot but messed with the diamond first to see if I could go keyboardless. Worked out really well because I enjoy the diamond alot. GPS is responsive (3-5 secs for my position). 4gb internal is enough for me(barely scratched 2 gigs). Camera without the flash is fine with me (no need for photos at night.) As long as I can make calls, text msg, check webpages, get directions, check emails and IM (thank you palringo!) I'm happy.

Everyone has there own needs. Mines are met with the diamond.

One thing that has me concerned is that a lot of people are ditching the diamonds for pros. Hopefully this move doesn't make the diamonds extinct!

Just my 2 cents!
