Yeah I agree, I read a few of those, and it was basically "I want a TP, how do I brick my mogul" those really upset me. I did, however upgrade from a Mogul to a Vogue last year, but I only called in and asked if they could do the swap, no BS, no Lies, no Fraud.

It seems Asurion is structuring deductibles so that more expensive phones cost more money to replace. This seems like the logical thing to do. I mean, is it really fair that we can get a lost TP replaced for the same price as someone with a ****ty flip phone?

If this were a reaction to fraud, it would probably be in the form of an increased premium, not an increased deductible.
That was my first thought, but after remembering how many times I have seen people discussing how to get a free upgrade I decided to stick with the fraud part. The way I see it, if we didnt have peope intentionally bricking, breaking, or losing their ppc's when they become aware asurion is replacing them with a newer model some people will file a claim just to get it, therefor Asurion has to order more of these phones and that justifies them increasing the cost just for the higher end models.

I agree on the bricking the device, but the devices that were effected by the chrome cracking also had other problems. Also, it is unnearving to pay hundreds of dollars for a new device, regardless of what it may be, and to have the Chrome start to peel off within a few weeks because it was dropped from a few inches.
