Have you tried opening the keyboard before loading a game (while the logo is still on screen)? If so, maybe a reinstall would fix it.

Also, there's a program called "K for touch pro" that fixes the strange hardware key recognition. Maybe it'll help. Try to search for it on XDA Developers (I don't have it).

Also, I think there's an option for an onscreen control pad if you don't wanna use the keyboard. It might be in the display tab.
