Here is the cool part and the reason why I think Scott may want to include it: It saves prescious RAM! Only 2MB, but every bit helps. When I downloaded it originally it mentioned compressed textures saving 2MB of space. Wasn't sure what exactly that was in comparison to.
So I decided to test it. I reflashed to a pretty stripped down kitchen, no TF3D or anything. Hard reset and then soft reset after flash, and check memory. 63.19 MB free. So I install Slide to Answer, soft reset. 65.12MB free.
I was pleasantly suprised....I have always been annoyed that the HTC Dialer took 9+MB of RAM and was required to make the call volume work. Now I have a way to cut 2MB off that...and it looks good too! Here is (I think) the original thread that I found it in:

Just updated it yesterday it looks like....make sure to download the 2nd one that says Diamond.
I also have been playing with Manila from the touch HD....a version I played with earlier was very fast (faster than the VZ themes here), and it has the new tabs like stocks. The one I have now is kinda clunky, going to mess with it some more. The biggest problem is getting it started, it's kinda buggy there, otherwise it's great  I'll report back when I figure out more. |
This link is to the same thread i posted and then removed... did you actually try this version or just read my post there and report it working?
I ask because i could never get the thing to work, and i wonder if i should give it another go.
