My understanding is you'd need to modify the bootloader to repartition the ROM to have 2 separate CE images. Then you'd need to mod the bootloader so you can choose which one you want on boot. Perhaps one could be default and the second, less used one could be autoloaded when you do a keypress on booting like you do for hard reset or bootloader mode.

Additionally I think provisions would have to be made for flashing so you know which os you are currently flashing.

It sounds like a lot of work to me and would be a something above what the average rom chef is capable. You'd need to crawl on your hands and knees to the likes of cmonex and olipro with some very generous use of their donate buttons to even have a snowballs chance in hell.
i figured i'd be buying someone a lot of coffee for this to be possible
but right now i have 344mb out of 512mb free with mightymike4.7.2 rom for storage and thats after i've installed all my customs and programs. it seems like it'd be hard but as soon as i get the money saved, i'll look into getting this done.. thanks for all the answers to this post. and if any devs that could possibly and would be willing to do this with the right amount of donations to the cause see this post, please let me know, it might be a good minute before i get the funds, but i would love to be able to dual boot, so its worht it to me

and i dont like flashing back and forth between roms i like because then i have to customize it the way i like it each time and most of what i have isn't in cabs so i have to copy files manually that i want to change which is a little bit of a pain so if i could dual boot i'd be able to just switch b/t my fav two roms and they already be customized.. this is the benefit of the dual boot
