I have NOT used QuickGPS (have not needed to run the program) since this change was made.

Again, I will restate and reiterate for the jury... My Diamond that I purchased in December of 2008 has not locked on to the GPS sats/towers with any reliability since I've owned it.

I have tried everything short of returning the phone and getting a new one to make it work.

Then, I finally made the small registry change and BADA-BING it now works.

Tobey, I will admit I'm no ROM chef, programmer, Messiah or anything of that matter.

I am a savvy tech person, have a background in IT and electronics. I also use GPS in many areas of my personal life (car, boat) and also practice and use the Free to air (FTA) satellites and boxes.

Bottom line this wasn't just me not clicking on a CAB file or something silly of that nature, it was driving me nuts and I finally got it to work reliably.
