Alltel GPS fix.

For those of you who have a newer HTC Touch Diamond from Alltel and cannot get the GPS working like it should I have found a really simple fix.

1. Make sure your location setting is set to "On" find this by Start > Settings > Phone > Settings > Location Setting > "On"

2. Run the QPST program as detailed in this post and make sure your phone has the correct gpsOne settings:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...13&postcount=1

3. Using a registry editor navigate to the following reg key:

HKLM > Software > HTC > SUPL AGPS

and change the GPSMode (Value) = 1 (save and reboot)

So, all of the settings in my SUPL AGPS now read as follows:

EnableAGPS = 1
EnableGPSSmartMode = 1
GPSMode = 1
NumberFixes = 999999999
QoSAccurace = 50
QosPerformance = 89
ServerIP = 205.142.19.100 (Conflip's ROM has a different addy?)
ServerPort = 8888
TimeBetweenFixes = 1

I have a newer HTC Touch Diamond I purchased in Dec - 2008 and there seems to be some slight difference with the "newer" phones and the "older" phones.

Try this and see if it works for you, it did for my phone. Backing up your registry before editing is always a good idea.
