Would there be issues with a shipped ROM stopping the development of custom ones, or is it pretty much a given (as I have thought in the past) that a shipped ROM is all that is needed to start cooking?
Thanks again!!!!

Well, its unanswered as of yet. but im hoping thats all it will take. a shipped rom [should] have a radio and bootloader and everything that is needed for us to make a custom rom. i think a lot of the people that flashed with gsm roms are loading up a new bootloader without knowing it and in that kinda screwing themselves.
We at geeks/xda know next to nothing about samsung roms, so its all kinda trial and error hoping that something works. Ive worken up with an idea in the middle of the night that i had to try right away lol, ended up with bricks by morning
