Can a Custom ROM or a radio flash cause any kind of delay in text and picture messaging?!?
I'm trying out PushEffects and I'm getting delays in the mail greater than polling every 1/2 hour sometimes.
Picture messages routinely take more than 24 hours to be received.
I've been sending test text messages from phones, web and email clients and most are delayed. If they don't come through in a little over 30 minutes they're lost.
I just want to make sure I haven't done something before I start calling Sprint.
This has been happening for awhile to me.

Yeh in this case i have to agree with the guy since its only one ROM in question. Whatever ROM u got installed just go to that thread and post the question. THat way you'll get feedback from the same people using the same ROM you have. But to answer your question sure a custom ROM can mess things up, especially if the chef didnt cook it right. If you can find an answer in that ROM thread, then i would flash back to stock rock, and if u still getting delays or problems, THEN call sprint and get a fix
