SMS Issues: Maybe it's not the DLL...
Just wanted to bump this a bit... looks like it's getting lost in the bug thread and I wanted to make sure the mods and devs saw it since it may debunk what we thought was a fix...

I think there might be more to the problem than just this DLL in and of itself.
I use Alltel as well, and I have been running v1.0.2 since it was released. SMS works fine for me and I haven't seen any of the issues reported. I checked my registry and for the above key I have the "stock" setting (HTC_SMS_Providers.dll). Yet, it all works fine for me.
So, perhaps it is something else, or a combination of this DLL and one of the OEMs? I'm running a pretty basic ROM... I can get you a list of OEMs if it will help.
