Alternative to Tinting batt cover.

Ok... every one has seen the other thread where about 3 dollars worth of tint and hot water can paint your back cover. Then we can avoid it to turning gold. (yellow brown). Well... I recently got my replacement and figured to do my method in painting the back battery covey. I bought a 4 dollar crystal clear paint and a 1200 scuff pad. This is the end result. I like it 1 million times better now. Now olny does it reflect like a brand new cars paint job, but makes the metalic silver "pop". What do you thing? I sprayed it with 5 thin coats. Evenly across and waited 10 minutes between coats. Also.. prior to sparying it ... I scuffed it with a 1200 grit scuff pad to make the clear grip. Then washed it for 3 minutes with warm waer and soap. Oil and paint dont mix. I masked the lense cover and spared away. Heres some pics..... this took me about 1 hour to do. If you want to do this and got questions... ask away.
