EPST stuff? Yeah, I edited all that stuff, it's got my (PHONE)@vzw3g.com login on every relevant page, and "verizon" as the password (for some reason during my Cricket fiddling, I had "cricket" as the password). Cleared the secrets and they get reset (filled in) the next time I go back into EPST after rebooting/reconnecting.
DMU? Well, for some reason the "DMU" folder on it was empty when I went there (it was still doing the "Vision PCS" error before that, with an empty DMU folder), and I yanked the 10.key file off my VX8300.
I'm still really curious about that NVM_HTC file... like I said, OP is really unclear about what to do with NVM_HTC and that's got me thinking that I missed an important step. =\
