i noticed the text messaging bug had to do with the outbox. when you send a message, it is supposed to stay in the outbox while the network loads it up and then it sends it out, thus clearing the outbox with the text you sent. the bug had to do with sending the message as well as keeping a copy of it in the outbox. then slowly the messages in the outbox started getting sent out again and again, and you can see how ppl got duplicates throughout the day. and there were other crazy things too like messages sent after you soft reset, etc.
anyways, i flashed ssk 1.2 standard, and once i couldnt figure out how to stop the bug and other small issues i was having, i just hard reset using the aforementioned clear storage technique. i let the phone do its thang, set up and load customizations, and everything worked perefect after that.
at the moment, i am also running the vzw black theme from scott, and i installed opera and diamong config. thats it.
