It has a real GPS and A-GPS. It is a lot better than the GPS in my HTC Touch Pro which lags badly.
It also has google maps with street view (orange icon) and it has google "Earth" which is not available on win mo.

Having said that, I prefer my HTC GPS because I am running Igo8 with a bluetooth Holux receiver. So I dont have to deal with the built in crappy GPS. At least I can tether it to a a bluetooth system. There is no voice turn by turn with the iPhone..
