I installed a new kitchen, tweaked it just the way I liked it over the course of several hours, only to discover that I apparently neglected to install the default contact manager. If I try to launch contacts, nothing happens. I've verified that the content of the registry entry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS is :MSPOUTLOOK contacts.

If I go to my Favorite People in HTC home and try to edit the details of one of those, the phone freezes and I'm forced to soft reset.

I am able to install other contact managers such as iContact and PocketCM, but I just don't like them as much. How can in install the default contact manager without re-writing the rom?
