That right there can be quite useful as it totally eliminates the incoming ring delay that the HTC dialer causes (it will ring 2-3 rings sooner at times)
The stock dialer is kinda ugly, so I use a custom skin on it:
& it needs a regedit for ## codes to work, but it's what I use 99% of the time & my phone rings instantly now......
