I'm getting great battery life with 0.8 I haven't had a chance to flash 0.9 yet but I don't think it would be much if any of a difference, could be the radio you are using. I am currently running the new 1.11 radio Rom for sprint and with moderate use I can get about 25-30 hours of battery.
